§ 6.12.050. Liability insurance.

The keeper of a potentially dangerous or dangerous dog shall maintain a liability insurance policy in an amount of not less than one hundred thousand dollars ($100,000.00) covering any damage or injury that may be caused by the dog. The policy shall contain a provision requiring that the director of animal control be notified by the insurance company of any cancellation, termination or expiration of the policy.
