§ 5.16.080. For-hire driver's permits.

No person shall operate a for-hire vehicle, including taxicabs, passenger vans, limousines, or buses, upon the streets of the city, without first having in his possession a valid for-hire permit to operate such vehicles. No person who owns or controls a for-hire vehicle shall permit it to be operated unless the driver has in his possession a valid for-hire permit.
