§ 3.72.010. Definitions.

As used in this title:

"City officers" means the six council members, the mayor, the city treasurer, the city clerk, the fire chief, and the police chief. The mayor and the council members shall be elected by direct vote of the electors of the city in accordance with city and state statutes and shall be appointed by the mayor subject to confirmation by the council and shall serve at the pleasure of the council.

"Position" means an office or employment in the city service composed of specific duties and requiring the full-time or part-time services of one person.
