§ 2.32.010. Qualifications.

    Local Requirements. Only qualified, registered voters of the city who, at the time of their choice to fill a vacancy, are at least eighteen (18) years old and have resided in the state for sixty (60) days, and within the city at least sixty (60) days immediately preceding the date of election, and shall be qualified for the office of the councilperson, school board, liquor board or mayor. No councilperson, or school board member may hold any office or position in the city government by appointment by the mayor. If the mayor, councilperson or school board or liquor board member ceases to be a resident of the city, he/she shall thereupon cease to hold office.
