§ 17.08.120. Floodplain.

"Floodway" means that area of land adjoining the channel of a river, stream or other similar body of water which may be inundated by a flood that can be reasonably expected to occur. The floodplain includes all the lands within the limits of the one hundred (100) year flood and the floodway within it if such floodway is delineated. The floodplain area is defined by the Corps of Engineers.
