§ 13.16.140. Deposits—Receipt.

  • At the time the deposit is given to the city the applicant will be given a receipt for the same. The deposit is not to be considered as a payment on account. The deposit will be returned to the customer when service to the customer is discontinued, provided all outstanding bills have been paid. The city may, at its option, return the deposit without application, provided all bills have been paid promptly for twelve (12) consecutive billing periods. The city will not pay interest on any deposit. When service is discontinued, the deposits will be refunded less any amount due the city for service.
